Good evening! My name is Royce, and I am a former guest of Crossroads.
When I was asked to give my testimony, I thought ‘Alright, yeah I can do this’. Then I realized I’ve never done this before! I don’t have a clue where to begin. What do I do?
Jody: I came to Crossroads in January with one goal, to get out of here as fast as I could. I had been released from jail and was desperate. I knew I couldn't go home, but the treatment center I wanted to go to was full, so a homeless shelter was my only option.
Ernest: Almost a year ago, I found myself in the Emergency Room at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island. I was disoriented, short of breath and very confused. I was scared and knew that something was very wrong.
Laura's Story, as it appeared in the Hastings Tribune:
After years of drugs and alcohol abuse, Laura is proud to say she has her life back on track.
She had lost her son, all her money, her home and trust in her parents, and she was at the point of losing her freedom. “I ended up in jail,” she said.
John: Ever since I was old enough to remember there was always drug, alcohol, mental, physical and sexual abuse in my life. That type of behavior went throughout my adolescence into my early teens.
Judy: My husband was killed in a hit and run accident in 1991. Soon after that, the company I was working for was bought out and I lost my job.
