Todd, our Adams County neighbor, had known struggles in his life, but when he needed time off to recover from surgery, financially he just couldn’t recover.  “I couldn’t afford the car payment, the rent, and all the utilities and gas and groceries, and it was just overwhelming. So I called up Crossroads.” With a child depending on him, Todd knew he needed to find help. His case worker at Crossroads worked “as hard as she could to get things situated for us. She has been a blessing!” Finding the help they needed, Todd and his son were able to move into their own apartment five months later. He says gratefully, “I’m blessed having Crossroads!”

Your generous donation to Hastings Crossroads Mission Avenue through Give Hastings Day this year will help men, women, and families like Todd’s, who are struggling and need the guidance and stability that Crossroads is able to provide through safe, sober, sanitary, supportive housing and programming. The needs in our community are many, as the cost of housing and living expenses remain high. Daily, families come to the Mission for help. In 2023, Hastings Crossroads provided vital food assistance to 1,427 families through food boxes, while 283 individuals received $12,288 worth of clothing and household items at no cost through our Mission Avenue Thrift Community Needs Voucher Program. Helping our neighbors get back on their feet – that’s the help and hope that individuals can find at Crossroads!
