In April 2023, our Executive Director, Daniel Buller was the recipient of an award from Food Bank for the Heartland, recognizing his efforts in bringing food services into Central Nebraska, to those who need them most. A core value of Crossroads Mission Avenue is to care for those in need, as providing food, shelter, clothing and physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and vocational support to the homeless is our first priority as a ministry. Working together, Crossroads and FBFH have served food boxes to 4,638 households representing 16,638 individuals in the past year through the monthly mobile food pantry in Lexington. Crossroads Mission Avenue values this partnership with Food Bank for the Heartland and is honored to be recognized by FBFH in this way. Working TOGETHER we can make an impact!

In May 2023, Crossroads Mission Avenue was the recipient of the Community Partnership Award from Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska! Our Grand Island Program Director Dan Rogers and Case Manager Sky Crooks were honored to accept the award on behalf of Crossroads. Crossroads is a referral agency, utilizing and working alongside community agencies to coordinate a team of professionals for wrap around case management to provide needed services that will stay in place beyond well a guests’ stay at Crossroads, and well into their transition back into the community.
